About Me
I have been active in personal training since 2009, having been a personal trainer at the Campo YMCA, Southshore Falls, Sun City Center, and King’s Point. Also I have been a group exercise instructor at King’s Point since 2014.
I have extensive, successful, experience working with seniors, including those special needs individuals dealing with such conditions as joint replacement, arthritis, stroke, osteoporosis, heart conditions, neuropathy, and Parkinson’s.
For 25 years I was as an active runner, racing at distances ranging from 5Ks to marathons. My dedication to running eventually attracted me to personal training.
I am originally from Ohio where I received a B.A. in Economics from Denison University and later graduated from Emory University in Atlanta with an MBA. I served 5 years in the Air Force before entering private industry where I worked in various accounting management positions, finishing as a Corporate Controller in Texas in 2008, when I relocated to Florida and became a Certified Personal Trainer.
Besides Ohio, I have lived in Germany, Delaware, Virginia, and Texas.
I live with my wife, Claudia, in Sun City Center, FL and enjoy travel, music, movies, watching football, and trying new restaurants.
What I Do
Client Testimonials
I was never in a gym until I moved to Sun City Center. The gym we have is wonderful but it was intimidating because I had know idea how to use it and did not want to get injured especially at retirement age. Dennis took the time to go over how to use the equipment and what effect it would have on my body. I now use the gym 3 times a week and feel strong and injury free.

You get the most out of your people by giving them both the knowledge and confidence to succeed.

I started training with Dennis in 2013, working out twice a week. I was so pleased with my results that a few years later I increased my training sessions to three times a week. Dennis is very professional and easy to work with. I am 82 years old and have no plans to stop my personal training with him.
I want to be a role model for my children and grandchildren.

Dennis has given me new life, strength and energy in the last months.
I am recovering from 3 serious spine ops.
You cannot make a mistake with Dennis.

No matter what your fitness goals, Dennis will work with you to create a plan ideally suited for your body. With loads of experience working with folks over 55, Dennis can help you use the machines in the gym, to isolate the muscle group. He can also work with you to use cables and free weights so that your workout does not get stale and repetitive. As a certified yoga instructor and trainer of yoga teachers, I always recommend weight training, along with daily stretching, proper breathing, cardio and mindful eating as the pillars of overall health.

When I asked Dennis to train me, I was losing body tone and was weak.
As a personal trainer, Dennis knows how to position the body and the equipment for maximum results. He uses a variety of different exercises each session and can work around injuries. Immediately I could feel my muscles working hard, and I have already gained strength. Thank you, Dennis.

Dennis is the best! I am 90 years old and able to do amazing things for a woman my age due to the expert training received from Dennis.

Dennis has been my trainer and “life insurer” for close to three years. I believe exercise, a plant-based diet and Dennis keep me vital and energetic. He is a good listener and always supportive in assisting one in reaching personal goals by providing a challenging and diversified program that never gets boring. I can anticipate Dennis will be my chief "life insurer" well in to the future.

Dennis is an exceptional instructor and trainer combining the two in a way that makes you walk away feeling like you really did a good workout. Not only do you work the entire body but you push yourself beyond what you think you can. With explanations of the body parts you are targeting and extra reps you really know you did something good for yourself. I appreciate doing just a little more. The 50’s music adds a lot too.
